About where-am-i.co
My name is Thomas Aunay, I have an engineering background and I started developing map-related websites in 2010.
Around 2015, I was working on a big project and created the current where am I tool as an add-on — something extra on a lower-level page. That page was still a work-in-progress when traffic started building up significantly, to my surprise.
Looking back, I believe it must've been due to its core practicality, usefullness and to the accuracy of the APIs which were used. In any case, its success led me to rebuild it as a standalone location website.
I have kept improving the site since then. It has been a challenging journey. With internet constantly evolving, I put a lot of time and efforts into finding the right instruments and securing sustainable relationships with new partners. I feel this is the best version of any where am I tool available out there and I hope you'll appreciate its speed and accuracy.
Don't hesitate to contact me about where-am-i.co or any other map-related subject as this is something I'm truly passionate about.
